# About Keygenerator
This is a companion app to ''keygen''(https://shirakumo.org/projects/keygen), a self-hosted software key distribution platform. It allows users to automatically check for and install updates to their software packages.

You can download precompiled binaries from the ''releases''(https://shirakumo.org/projects/keygen/releases/latest) page and run it directly. By default it'll present with a GUI and install things directly in the same directory as the binary.

## Command Line
If you would like to use the updater without a GUI, you can invoke it from the command line with the following arguments:

  -config string
    	The config file to read (defaults to .key in the binary directory)
  -gui
    	Whether to use the GUI or not (default true)
  -key string
    	The Key URL to access
  -path string
    	The directory to extract things to
  -tmp string
    	The directory to store packages in
  -auto
        Whether to perform a one-shot auto-update. Ipmlies --gui false

So for instance:

Will automatically fetch the files for the given key and present a terminal UI to manage updates with, instead.
